The reason for Virendra Raghunvashi not getting the ticket is the discussion about the ‘cloth tearing’ fight between Kamal Nath and Digvijay Singh’s wife. Congress has made KP Singh its candidate from Shivpuri. It was believed that Congress would change the ticket and declare Virendra Raghuvanshi as its candidate, but this did not happen.

Regarding the cancellation of Virendra Raghuvanshi’s ticket, Digvijay Singh has said that Kamal Nath ji, I and Virendra Raghuvanshi were sitting, we told Virendra – “You come to Congress, we will get you a ticket from Shivpuri.” But later KP Singh was brought to Shivpuri to contest against Scindia ji from Shivpuri. I congratulate KP Singh Himmat for leaving his Pichhor seat and coming to contest from Shivpuri. KP told us – Be it Scindia ji or Yashodhara, I will contest the elections and defeat them. That’s why he has left Pichhore seat. He further said that Virendra is justified in being sad, he was with me, but we will definitely find some other way.
Who is Virendra Raghunvashi?
Virendra Raghuvanshi is currently an MLA. He was considered a Sindhiya supporter. In 2007, he had won the Kolaras Assembly by-election as a Congress candidate, but due to differences with Scindia, he joined BJP. In the 2018 elections, BJP gave ticket to Virendra Raghunvashi and won the election. Virendra Raghuvanshi is currently the MLA from Kolaras seat of Shivpuri. He has recently joined Congress.
