Kaithal: A 22-year-old woman was murdered over dowry in Kalayat. The sister disclosed this and told the entire story of the accused. Following a complaint by the father of the deceased, the police registered a case against four in-laws. The police will interrogate the accused in the case.
Rambir, a resident of Bhambhori village, Meerut district UP, complained to Kalayat police station that he has three girls and a boy. His two daughters Sapna and Muskaan aka Mannu got married to Amit and Sonu on November 14, 2021 in Kalayat. After marriage, both girls were beaten and harassed over dowry. Both girls always complained to him that their mother-in-law Pinky, father-in-law Kiranpal and sons Amit and Sonu used to harass and beat them for bringing dowry. He explained a lot about it to the girls’ mothers-in-law, fathers-in-law and husbands, but they had different opinions. On the evening of October 22, his daughters called and said that the above four people were threatening them either to get Rs 10 lakh from their house or to leave the house.
The complainant said that the elder girl Muskan, who is married to Sonu, refused to bring Rs 10 lakh to Sonu. Then Sonu, Amit, Pinky and Kiranpal caught Muskaan and brought her to the room. The little girl Sapna tried with all her might to free Muskaan, but the four accused killed Muskaan by hanging themselves. Sapna told all these things to her family when she reached Kalayat. The accused murdered her daughter because she did not fulfill her demand for a dowry of Rs 10 lakh. Kalayat police station superintendent Rohtash said the police have registered a case against the accused and have initiated an investigation.
