Bhopal. On one hand panic is increasing among the people regarding H3N2 Influenza virus, on the other hand the health department remains careless. Because the facility of testing of influenza virus is available in private lab and microbiology lab of Gandhi Medical College. But the test kit is not available at the microbiology lab and the test fee at the private lab is Rs 4500. That’s why patients are shying away from getting tested at private labs. Although Dr. Arvind Rai, Dean of GMC, says that the investigation will be started as soon as the kit is available.
Which virus, no confirmation yet
People with phlegm cough and fever are reaching the hospital for treatment. Patients are also having difficulty in breathing due to phlegm. Even small children have to be recruited. Doctors are telling this problem due to virus. But it has not been confirmed yet that which virus is making people sick fast. But if experts are to be believed, the reason for this is being attributed to the Influenza virus.
– 60 percent patients of cold-cough and fever
About 60 percent patients are coming to the OPD of Jaypee Hospital with complaints of cold, cough and fever. Those who are suffering from phlegm cough which is getting cured in a long time. Due to accumulation of phlegm in the trachea, they have difficulty in breathing. However, this disease is also being cured by medicines. The fever goes away in three to five days.
