Bhopal, The number of dengue patients is continuously increasing in the capital. At the same time, the awareness campaign being run by the Health Department also does not seem to have any significant effect. This time the number of dengue patients has broken last year’s record. Last year, 242 dengue patients were found, but so far this year their number has reached close to 500. These include 220 men, 180 women and 90 children. New dengue patients are emerging every day, while there are still two and a half months left for the year to end. Here, most of the patients are found in urban areas only. The Health Department is also conducting door-to-door surveys to prevent dengue.
So far, 1,68 thousand houses have been surveyed by health workers. Of these, larvae were found in 30 thousand houses, action was taken to destroy them. According to experts, in dengue, the patient has symptoms like high fever, headache, eye pain, vomiting and bleeding gums etc. If any such symptoms are found then seek expert advice.
Municipal Corporation is not doing fogging even after calling
There may be an increase in patients in the coming days. There is a possibility of this because the fogging being done by the Municipal Corporation is not being taken seriously. This is the reason why even after making calls, the corporation staff is not reaching the areas to do fogging. In fact, the corporation has deployed field teams in different areas of the city to kill mosquitoes. For this, they have been given 11 big machines which are loaded on four wheelers and more than 15 hand machines.
