The National Investigation Agency ie NIA is continuously taking action to stop the funding of terrorists, so that terrorist activities can be curbed in India. Moving forward in this sequence, NIA has continued its raids in several parts of Jammu and Kashmir including Srinagar, Shopian, Pulwama, Anantnag and Kulgam. According to media reports, most of the houses of people associated with Jamaat-e-Islami are being raided.
NIA teams are carrying out raids in Wachi area of Shopian, Nehama and Litter areas of Pulwama district and Fresal area of Kulgam district. Simultaneously, a team has reached Achhawal area of Anantnag district. Along with this, this action is also being taken to prevent target killing.
Woman separatist’s house searched
The National Investigation Agency had earlier searched the house of the woman separatist. Raids were also conducted at the house of Asiya Andrabi of Srinagar lodged in Tihar Jail. The house of this woman was sealed by the investigating agency in 2019 itself and all the assets have been confiscated.
NIA took action in Srinagar on Monday
The National Investigation Agency on Monday conducted a search operation in Jammu and Kashmir’s Srinagar in connection with the ISIS Kerala module case. According to media reports, the officials had recovered and seized all kinds of digital equipment during this period. The National Investigation Agency conducted this raid at the residence of Azhar Bhat in Karfali locality of Srinagar. Azhar Bhat is suspected of involvement in terrorist activities.
