Security forces on Friday, March 3, busted a narco-terror module and recovered 7 kg of heroin, Rs 2 crore in cash, arms and ammunition from the house of a notorious drug peddler in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district. A huge quantity of heroin and cash was recovered from the house of a Poonch-based drug peddler named Rafiq Dhana alias Rafiq Lala, police said. Rafiq Dhana has been arrested under the Public Safety Act, as he is a notorious drug smuggler.

Police investigation continues

In this case Poonch Police and Security forces have been successful in busting a major Narco Terror module. The search is still going on in the presence of magistrates and prominent citizens. The links of this module with Punjab-based drug peddlers are being probed. Along with this, it is also being seen that to what extent the lines of smuggling are connected. A case has been registered at Police Station Mandi and investigation has been started.

Notorious drug smuggler Rafiq Dhana is imprisoned for the last six months. Along with this, Danna Duian village of Mandi tehsil is the house of Rafiq Dhana near the Line of Control, about 40 km from the district headquarters. One special thing here is that there is no other house around Rafiq’s house, so its wires are also connected to Pakistan.
