Sirsa: The process of cheating innocent people by promising them jobs abroad does not stop. The young people are also deceived by showing them the dream of a job abroad. A similar case came to light in Raghuana village of the district. The young man was cheated of around Rs 2.25 lakh. Based on the complaint, the police took up the case and initiated an investigation.

In the complaint filed with the police, Sarabjit said that he works in a hair salon for a salary of Rs 10,000 per month. His older brother also works as a day laborer. His maternal grandfather lives in Badingkheda (Punjab). His maternal uncle’s son, Vishal, shares in his happiness and suffering. Charanjit Singh, a resident of Saktakheda village, is a friend of his maternal uncle’s son and therefore had to visit our house. During the domestic conversation, Charanjeet assured her that he would get her a job through a company in Dubai. Haircuts are also required there, but the salary is 50,000 rupees according to the local currency. Shipping abroad costs around Rs 2.25 lakh. Believing his words, the family members arranged the money and paid Rs 2,000 10,000 to Charanjeet.

The complaint said he was sent to Dubai on July 5, 2023. There he met his agent, who hired him as a sweeper. When he talked about doing hair cutting work at the company, he was beaten up. His passport was confiscated and left in an abandoned place. He ate bread by begging for many days. His passport was later returned to him on August 20. When he told his aunt’s son about it, he got him a return ticket. Before returning to India, the accused made him sign many papers. A video was made in which he says that he doesn’t like it here and is going to India of his own free will. After returning to the village, he contacted Charanjeet and demanded the return of the money, but he threatened to kill him. Based on the complaint, Badagudha police registered a case against the accused under the Immigration Act and initiated investigation.
