A death in police custody of a youth from Desumalkana village, Sirsa district, has come to light. The youth was arrested by the Anti Narcotics Cell team. The deceased youth has been identified as Gurpreet, a resident of Desu Malkana village in Kalawanli. The family claims that the young man died as a result of being tortured by the police. At the same time, the police say that Gurpreet has taken a drug overdose.

According to the information, Gurpreet, a resident of the village of Desumalkana, drove near the house from the field in a tractor on Saturday evening and was then caught by the Anti-Narcotics Cell team. The police took him to Sirsa. At the same time, after a few hours’ break, the family was informed by the agent of Gurpreet’s death. Gurpreet’s relatives, Nachhatar Singh and Daya Singh, claimed that Gurpreet was beaten by police after he was detained. That’s why Gurpreet died. The police wanted to put Gurpreet on a false case. Gurpreet did not agree, so the police took Gurpreet out of the house without a crime. Halfway through, he attempted to question the police about the crime committed by Gurpreet, but the police would not reveal anything. After a few hours, the jobber called him and said Gurpreet had died. After receiving the information, the family members, along with the agent, reached the location. He claimed police killed Gurpreet through torture. The family members demanded that they seek justice in the matter.

At the same time, Dataram, the head of the anti-drug cell, announced that the police team had gone to Desumalkana to capture Gurpreet. As soon as Gurpreet was caught and forced to sit in the car, his health began to deteriorate. Seeing his condition worsening, he was rushed to the hospital, where Gurpreet died. He said Gurpreet overdosed. According to police, the late Gurpreet Chitte used and sold drugs. Numerous proceedings have also been registered against Gurpreet.
