Rewari: ASI implicated in anti-corruption law threatens witnesses

Rewari: Recently, at the behest of former ASI Lalchand of Rampura police station, who was caught by the anti-corruption bureau team, the police registered a case against two persons, including Lalchand, for threatening the witness. The police started searching for the accused. Besides, the accused Lalchand is also being interrogated.

The ACB team had arrested ASI Lalchand red-handed on September 29 in a bribery case behind Rampura police station. In the complaint lodged at Rampura police station, witness in the case Pawan Kumar, a resident of Qutubpur, said Lalchand was released on bail on November 8. On the night of November 13th, he received a call from an unknown number. He did not attend the call. When I called back the next morning he didn’t answer the phone. After a while there was another call from the same number. The caller gave his name as Yogesh alias Gujarati and said that Lalchand was his maternal uncle. He didn’t do it right. He then started talking menacingly. Pawan claimed that he received threats several times at the behest of Lalchand. After registering a case on his complaint, the police started investigating the matter.
