There is great news for the students of Panchkula city and surrounding areas who are pursuing B.Tech degree in computer science. The admission process for B.Tech in Engineering has started at the Government Polytechnic Institute, Sector 26 of the city. Here children can enroll in a 4-year B.Tech course in Computer Science Engineering (CSE), Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Robotics and Automation, and Cybersecurity. For all three courses, 90 students can be admitted to 30-30 places. In addition, the institute has 60 places for the Diploma in Electronics and Communications. A total of 150 seats have been created here. Haryana Vidhan Sabha spokesman and local MLA Gyan Chand Gupta had long tried to start a B.Tech course at this polytechnic.

Daljit Singh, director of the institute, says this is a major achievement for the field. He shared that this institute was also included in the second state-level consultation for admission to 4-year B.Tech degree programs. Students in the second field of study can register here until August 31st. After that, admission is based on the “first come, first served” principle. The last admission date is September 15th. It should be mentioned that the D pharmacy course was also included here last year.

Explain that on 2nd August, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) granted permission to start B.Tech degree in Engineering at Government Polytechnic Institute, Sector 26, Panchkula. After that, the Higher Education Department of Haryana Government also got the go-ahead for the courses. These courses begin with the current academic session 2023-24. This will be the first polytechnic in the state to offer B.Tech in CSE. There used to be diploma courses in 5 subjects. The number of diploma courses is now 6 and three new B.Tech courses have been started.

The people of Panchkula and the surrounding area have long been calling for Vidhan Sabha spokesman Gyan Chand Gupta to open an engineering school here. In addition to completing various formalities on behalf of the state government, AICTE plays an important role in the establishment of an engineering school. It takes a long time for AICTE to get approval for this big project.

Against this background, Vidhan Sabha spokesman Gyan Chand had made a request to the state government to start a B.Tech course at the Government Polytechnic Institute. In this regard, a letter was written on April 7 to Mool Chand Sharma, Minister of Higher Education, on his behalf. The state government accepted their request within three days and gave the officials the necessary instructions in this regard. Now the government has launched four-year B.Tech programs in Computer Science Engineering (CSE) in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Robotics and Automation, and Cybersecurity here. The demand for these three courses is high, both in Germany and abroad. These courses are given a lot of attention in the market.
