Asian Cup 2023: Asia Cup 2023 is to be held in Pakistan. This will be the first time since 1996 World Cup that Pakistan is hosting a major tournament, so the Pakistan government is leaving no stone unturned in terms of security. The deployment of Pakistan Army and Punjab Rangers has been approved to ensure security in Asia Cup 2023. Asia Cup 2023 will start from Multan on 30 August. Pakistan will host 4 matches of this series.

Caretaker government of Punjab had demanded for security

According to media reports, the caretaker government of Punjab had requested the deployment of Army and Rangers, so that there would be no hindrance regarding security in the Asia Cup. This request was approved on Saturday. Under this, intensive security will be deployed from August 27 to September 6 during the Asia Cup. Along with this, special forces can also be deployed if needed. Let us tell you that Sri Lanka, Nepal, Afghanistan and Bangladesh will all play one match each in Pakistan during the Asia Cup. Whereas India will play all its matches in Sri Lanka.
