Kaithal: Additional Sessions Judge and Special Court POCSO Act Dr. The Gagandeep Kaur Singh court, while hearing a rape case, sentenced the perpetrator to 10 years imprisonment and a fine of Rs 30,000. If the fine is not paid, the defendant must expect an additional penalty of four months.
The victim filed a report with the women’s police on July 7, 2019 and stated that she got married on February 19, 2019. Before her marriage, she was friends with Krishna, a resident of Mayapuri Colony. There were also talks about her marrying Krishna, but Krishna said that he would get married only after getting a job. The victim then married at the request of her family. When she was returning from her in-laws’ house to her parents’ house after about a week, Krishna once called her to meet him. When she met Krishna, he took her to a hotel on Dhand Road in his car. Krishna took many photos with her in the room there. Then Krishna said if you don’t have any relationship with me he would put this photo on the net and then Krishna raped the victim. The victim remained silent fearing the society but Krishna continued to blackmail her.
Then Krishna would make video calls and force them to perform obscene acts. If he didn’t, he would threaten to make the photo go viral. The woman often obeyed him out of fear. He then took more photos and videos. Now he is defaming her by posting videos and photos on social media and threatening to destroy their marriage. Krishna threatened that if he did not listen to me, he would continue to defame me in this way. Based on this complaint, the police registered a case, arrested Krishna and presented the challan in the court. After hearing both sides, the court found Krishna guilty and sentenced Krishna to 10 years imprisonment and a fine of Rs 30,000.
