Bhopal ; Aam Aadmi Party demanded extension of election date in Madhya Pradesh. AAP’s 3-member delegation reached the Election Commission office in Bhopal and submitted a memorandum demanding extension of the election date. The delegation included AAP state spokesperson Ramakant Patel, Bhopal Lok Sabha Deputy Speaker Ishaq Khan and senior party worker Shambhudayal Malviya.

Employees posted on election duty will not be able to celebrate the festival

AAP’s state spokesperson Ramakant Patel said that voting is to be held in the state on November 17 and in the meantime there are also festivals of Diwali, Bhaidooj and Chhath. 3.5 lakh employees of the state are on election duty. In such a situation, the festival of these employees and their families will remain incomplete. He said that the election date in Rajasthan has been extended by 2 days and the Commission should consider doing the same in Madhya Pradesh.
