Faridabad: A car driver raped a girl along with his colleagues. The victim had gotten into a car to go home from Town Park in Sector 12. Instead of picking her up as a passenger and dropping her off at Bata Chowk, the defendant forcibly took her to the bushes of the BPTP area in Greater Faridabad and raped her multiple times. Somehow she escaped the defendants’ clutches, got to the main street and, with the help of passers-by, informed the police. Police identified the accused by studying the CCTV footage installed from Town Park to BPT area. The police arrested both of the driver’s companions. The police are investigating the matter.
A 24-year-old girl, originally from Uttarakhand, lives with her family in Ballabhgarh area. On Sunday evening she had an argument with her fiancé. Angered at him, she came to Town Park in Sector 12. At around 9:30 p.m., the girl told her sister and brother-in-law about the argument. They both explained it to him and asked him to go home. The victim came out of the park while on the phone. Then a driver came and stood up. The girl asked him to go to Bata Chowk, he agreed. According to the victim, the motorist abandoned two of his companions after driving a short distance in front of the park. One sat in the front seat and the other sat next to the victim.
When the girl asked him to stop the car near Bata Chowk, the motorist increased his speed and the defendant sitting behind silenced her by squeezing her mouth. The three defendants took him here and there into the bushes of the BPTP area in Greater Faridabad. There, the motorist’s associates Vishnu and Sanoj raped the victim. According to the victim, the motorist also tried to rape her. Then he invented an excuse to go to the toilet. All three suspects moved back and forth, then the victim took the opportunity, picked up mud, threw it in the motorist’s eyes and hid in the bushes. Because of the darkness, the accused could not find him. After the accused had left the crime scene, the victim somehow managed to get onto the main street and, with the help of passers-by, called the police.
According to the victim, the defendant tied a towel over her face. Police Commissioner Rakesh Arya said that the accused Vishnu and Sanoj have been arrested. Raids are being conducted to identify and search for the driver, Virendra. However, so far no reference to the accused has been found. Soon he too will be arrested.
