Faridabad: The state GST inspector and his assistant were caught taking a bribe of 15,000 rupees

Faridabad: An inspector and his deputy data entry officer stationed at the State GST Bureau, Sector 12 were caught in the act by the Anti-Corruption Bureau team accepting a bribe of Rs.15,000. The anti-corruption office is taking action against both.

The accused inspector’s name is Vikram and the deputy data entry operator’s name is Vinay. The department has launched a campaign to fill GST. Parvandir Singh, a company owner from Sector 55, then went to Inspector Vikram and asked for his GST number to be deleted. Instead, the inspector demanded a bribe of Rs. 15,000 from him. Company owner Parvandir Singh complained about this to ACB. After that, a team was formed led by DSP Meena Kumari. Company owner Parvandir Singh learned the amount of the bribe to the inspector as soon as he called him outside the Excise and Taxes building in Sector 12. The ACB team caught the inspector and his assistant. They also confiscated the amount of the bribe. The accused will be brought before the court on Friday and taken into custody.
