Faridabad: In a rape case in 2019, Additional Sessions Court judge Hemraj Mittal sentenced Shahrukh, convicted of raping a minor girl, to 11 years imprisonment. A fine of Rs 50,000 was also imposed on the perpetrator. If the fine is not paid, the offender must expect an additional penalty.

In August 2019, a 16-year-old minor girl was raped by accused Shah Rukh. Convict Shah Rukh was arrested by police on March 25, 2019. The defendant was sitting in a car with his brother. After the girl sat in the car, the accused pressed the girl’s mouth and committed rape. The defendant is a resident of Nuh District. His daughter was reported missing by the victim’s father. After the girl’s recovery, the victim stated in her statement that she was a 12th grade student. She was returning from school when the accused violently raped her brother while he was driving. The accused Shahrukh works as a car driver.

Based on the victim girl’s complaint, POCSO Act was added in the case against the accused. During the hearing in the case, the court found accused Shah Rukh guilty and sentenced him to 11 years imprisonment and a fine of Rs 50,000. The trial against the defendant’s brother, Amir, is also in court. This will create fear of the law among criminal people and they will not try to commit any kind of criminal activity. At the same time, the population’s trust in the police, courts and justice system is strengthened.
