Punishment: Husband was killed for illegal relationships, life imprisonment for wife and lover

News2News.in News Sonepat. District Court and Sessions Judge Ajay Parashar sentenced the deceased’s wife and her lover while she heard the murder case. The woman had killed her husband in an illegal relationship. The court sentenced the guilty woman and her lover to life imprisonment. One of the defendants in the case was acquitted. The court fined the guilty lover Rs 15,000 and the wife Rs 10,000.

Originally from Malikpur village and at the time of the incident, Aarti, a resident of Jeevan Vihar, Devdu Road, had told Sadar Police Station on September 26, 2018 that her husband Shiv Kumar aka Bobby since the morning of September 9, 2018. The woman accused the unknown for holding her hostage. The police had registered a case and started investigations. Ramesh Chandra, then head of Sadar Police Station, and investigating officer Dilawar Singh learned during the investigation that this was the woman’s second marriage. She had even divorced her second husband, Shivkumar. However, she later lived with him again.

There was another rift between the two for a while. When police called Aarti to the police station on December 19, 2018 and questioned her on suspicion, she made a shocking revelation. Aarti had said that she killed her husband by telling her lover Deepak, a resident of Mayur Vihar. Her husband was murdered together by lover Deepak and his friend Ashok. Police also arrested the woman and on December 20, 2018 Deepak and Ashok.

The accused had told the police that Shivkumar had been called out of town on September 8, 2018 on the pretext. From there he took them to the Rohat Canal, where all three drank alcohol. After drinking alcohol, Shivkumar was strangled and killed by hitting his head and face with a brick and throwing the body into the Rohat Canal. The police brought him before the court.

After hearing the case, ASJ Ajay Parashar’s court sentenced defendants Aarti and Deepak after the hearing. The court sentenced Aarti to life imprisonment and a fine of Rs 10,000 under Sections 302 and 120B and Deepak to life imprisonment and a fine of Rs 10,000 under Sections 302 and 120B, and to five years imprisonment and a fine of Rs 5,000 under Section 201. The defendant Ashok was acquitted.
