Faridabad: 10 years in prison for the accused of kidnapping and raping a girl

Faridabad: The district court on Tuesday sentenced a man to 10 years in prison for kidnapping and raping a girl. At the same time, a fine of 20,000 rupees was imposed on the convict. The girl was kidnapped by the convict in 2020, since then the case has been pending in court.

On September 21, 2020, the victim’s father reported to the police headquarters that he had five children. The second number’s 15-year-old daughter had been walking in the Sector 12 city park but did not come home. Even after extensive research, nothing was found about the daughter. Following the father’s complaint, the police took up a case and initiated an investigation. During interrogation, it turned out that the victim was seen with a youth named Sushil. The police team safely extricated the victim from Noida. The victim stated in the statement that she had been raped. During the investigation, it was determined that the victim’s age is 18 years and four months. The police arrested Sushil, who was accused of rape, and brought him before the court, from where he was sent to prison. Since then the matter has been in court. On Tuesday, for additional sessions, Judge JP Lamba sentenced the accused to 10 years in prison and a fine of Rs 20,000.
