Brick kiln raid: 8 children were caught working as laborers, including 3 girls

Ambala: A large number of children were forced to work as laborers in a brick kiln in Babahedi village. According to the information, the DTF team conducted a raid at the brick kiln on Tuesday. During the raid, the investigation team found eight children working as laborers. The investigation team then took all the children away. Preparations are now being made to take action against the oven owner.

In fact, the DTF team had received information that children were being forced to work on a large scale in a brick kiln in Babahedi village. After the information was confirmed, it was decided to search the oven. This information was first sent to DC Dr. Shaleen passed on. Thereafter, District Child Protection Officer, Labor Inspector, Anti-Human Trafficking Unit and members of MDD of India were also included in the investigation team. The joint team then raided Babahedi. The arrival of a large number of officials and police caused excitement among the population. The investigation team then seized eight children who were making raw bricks here. During the examination, it was found that the age of all the children was very young. These children had to work at the oven for a long time. Three girls are among the child laborers arrested.

Medical examination of all children

The investigation team informed the police about the incident after seizing all eight children. After police received information from Padav, DDR was registered regarding the raid. The investigation team then took all the children to the civil hospital. A medical examination of all children was carried out here. Now the investigation team will present these children to the Child Protection Committee. All children receive advice during their visit here. In addition, the family members of these children were also summoned. None of the children’s family could reach the spot till late evening. For this reason, all children were temporarily housed in the animal shelter.

The campaign to end child labor continues

District nodal officer of the program and district child protection officer Suman said that the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights is conducting a campaign against child labor across the country. A rescue and rehabilitation campaign on child labor is being carried out across the country. A raid was conducted in Babahedi in this regard. All children are counseled. The Department of Women and Child Development and the Ministry of Labor are also taking appropriate action in this matter. During the operation: District Nodal Officer and District Child Protection Officer Suman, SI Rajdrin of Crime Branch of Anti-Human Trafficking Unit, ASI Jagjit Singh, Labor Inspector Surendra, Paramjit Singh Badaula of MDD of India, AVSC Ajay Tiwari, CSW Rubal, Neeraj, Harvadrin and Surendra from the district child protection unit were also present.
