Ambala: Four assailants attacked an Income Tax department employee after he refused to urinate near the park wall. In addition to the employee, his nephew was also injured in the attack. Both were admitted to the civil hospital. The incident took place at Gandhi Park near Baldev Nagar. After recording the victim’s statement, the Baldev Nagar police station registered a case against the attackers and initiated an investigation.

Praveen Sudan of Baldev Nagar said he works in the income tax department. Last night at 8.30 pm I was roaming around in Gandhi Nagar Park near my house. He saw Shivam Arora, Maninder Singh alias Laddi, Prabhjot Singh alias Shooter and Gurpreet Singh alias Goldie urinating outside the park. Praveen said that he only told the four boys not to urinate here. Children and women also come to visit. When Maninder Singh alias Goldie heard this, he punched him in the eye. He felt dizzy and fell down. The attackers picked up a nearby brick and hit him. Continued kicking and punching him. He managed to escape with great difficulty and ran away. He reached near Subhash Plastic Factory where he met his nephew Deepak alias Sunny on the road. He told his nephew about the incident. Meanwhile, all four attackers came and attacked with iron bars, sticks and stones. As the crowd began to gather, the attackers fled the spot. Now the police are looking for the attackers.
