Ambala: Youth died of drug overdose, brother wanted to buy a car

Ambala: A 30-year-old boy died of a drug overdose. The young man had traveled to Delhi with his younger brother on the pretext of buying a car. Both brothers stayed in Ambala Cantt. Here they both got drunk and the older brother died of an overdose. The deceased has been identified as Jaskaran Singh Dhillon. The police have opened an investigation by registering a case on the complaint of the youth’s mother.

Ravinder Kaur, a resident of Jalandhar, said that the elder son, Jaskaran Singh, worked in Solan (Himachal) Drug Rehabilitation Center for about 2 months. His two sons had left home around 2pm on April 16, saying they were going to Delhi to buy a car. At around 1 am on the night of April 18, he received a call by the name of Kamal Jeet. He told that his two sons are staying with us at the Batra Hotel. Both are heavily intoxicated and argue with each other. The woman said that she said to leave both sons. Got a call at 2am from her son Premdeep saying we were fine. I’ll talk to you later.

Spoke to Jaskaran Singh Dhillon on cellphone at 3am. Dillon told him we don’t have any money. Transfer it. We didn’t talk again. At 4:30 am, Kamaljit called again and said that he had left your two sons in good condition at Ambala Cantt bus station. At 6:00 am, the police received information that Jaskaran Singh had died. After the death of the son, the woman together with her brother Gursen Singh reached Ambala Cantt. Here his younger son was found in a drunken state. Allegedly his son bought drugs from someone in Ambala Cantt. His son died of a drug overdose. The woman called for strict action against those involved in drug trafficking. The Padav police station has registered a case and started investigations. The accused has not yet been identified.
