New Delhi: Action has started against the officers who were negligent regarding the cleanliness system in Delhi. The Mayor of Municipal Corporation of Delhi, Dr. Shelly Oberoi, on Saturday suspended the officers who were negligent in the cleanliness system. Three personnel including SI have been suspended in Ward-112. Along with this, she has warned that she will continuously conduct surprise inspections of the wards. Strict action will be taken for negligence. No laxity will be tolerated in the cleaning system of Delhi. Under the mega-cleanliness campaign ‘Ab Delhi Hogi Saaf’, Mayor Oberoi, Deputy Mayor Aale Mohammad Iqbal and Leader of the House Mukesh Goyal visited various wards and reviewed the cleanliness arrangements at ground zero.
Mayor Dr Shaili Oberoi inspected Sainik Enclave Ward and Hastsal Ward of Western Zone under the mega cleanliness drive ‘Ab Delhi Saaf Hogi’. During the inspection of Ward 112 Sainik Enclave, gross negligence regarding the cleanliness system came to the fore. Seeing the negligence in the cleaning system, the mayor reprimanded the officials on the spot. Along with this, three sanitation workers including SI were suspended for negligence.

The Mayor told that the citizens of Delhi should complain with photos on the MCD 311 app and a solution would be found in 24 hours. After cleaning the empty grounds, yoga centers should be made at those places as per the need. At the same time, the Deputy Mayor said that the mega cleaning campaign has now taken the form of a mass movement, the people of Delhi are joining the cleanliness campaign in large numbers, while the Leader of the House Mukesh Goyal said that under the leadership of CM Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi has become the country’s most clean city.
