Delhi Excise Policy: ED had sent summons to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the Delhi Liquor Policy case. CM was to appear before ED at 11 am today. However, the Delhi Chief Minister did not reach the ED office today. He has written a letter and sent his reply to ED. Now BJP has held a press conference regarding this. In the press conference, BJP leader Sambit Patra has fiercely targeted CM Kejriwal. He said that CM Kejriwal is not strictly honest but shameless. Along with this, Patra said that Arvind Kejriwal, the kingpin of Delhi liquor scam, has run away fearing ED’s questions. Sambit Patra said that Arvind Kejriwal’s escape shows his acceptance of the scam.

What did Patra say on the reply sent by Kejriwal to ED?

On the reply sent by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to ED, BJP leader Sambit Patra said that what is the reason that despite the Supreme Court saying that Arvind Kejriwal is not paying attention to end this case soon. I am surprised that he (Arvind Kejriwal) has written in his letter that Diwali is coming, hence I should be given exemption, meaning ED should not interrogate Arvind Kejriwal, because sometimes it is Holi and sometimes it is Diwali. It is simply an admission that we have stolen.

Kejriwal is the source of corruption- Patra

He said that Kejriwal has asked in the letter written to ED that in what capacity has he been called for questioning, whether personally or as the Chief Minister or the convener of the Aam Aadmi Party? Sambit Patra said that instead of asking such questions, he should be told whether he is above the law or God that he cannot be interrogated. He is the source of corruption, so he has been called for questioning.

Gopal Rai hit back at Patra

Meanwhile, Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai has hit back at the statement of BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra. Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai said that Arvind Kejriwal has sent the reply to the ED notice and asked about the unanswered questions in the notice. It was not clear in the notice whether ED wanted to summon Arvind Kejriwal as the Chief Minister of Delhi or as AAP convenor or as a citizen.

‘CBI is BJP or BJP is CBI’

Gopal Rai said that it was also not clear whether he has been called as a witness or as an accused. Rai said that ED’s reply has not come, but BJP’s national spokesperson has come to reply. Today it is difficult to differentiate whether ED is BJP or BJP is ED, CBI is BJP or BJP is CBI. When questions are raised on agencies then why do BJP leaders stand in front to answer?
