Arrested arms supplier to Neeraj Bawana gang from MP, 10 pistols and car recovered

Delhi Police has arrested a 19 year old boy. Police have arrested the accused for procuring weapons from Madhya Pradesh and supplying them to Neeraj Bawana gang members in Delhi-NCR. In this matter, the police has given information on Saturday. Police said that Mohammad Sameer has been arrested by the Special Cell of Delhi Police. Along with this, a juvenile has also been taken into custody.

Alok Kumar, Deputy Commissioner of Delhi Police’s Special Cell, said that ten pistols and the car used to transport the weapons were seized from the arrested youths. Alok Kumar told that on Wednesday both have received a consignment of pistols from Khargone in Madhya Pradesh and brought them to Delhi.

Police caught like this by laying a trap

Alok Kumar, Deputy Commissioner of Special Cell, told that he had to hand over the consignment to a person he knew near NTPC Eco Park on Kalindi Kunj-Mithapur road. He said that a team of Delhi Police Special Cell had already laid a trap on the basis of information. After this, around 8 pm, the police saw the car coming and they were surrounded and caught. Alok Kumar told that even before this, both had brought three more consignments of weapons during the last six months and supplied them to Neeraj Bawana gang members as well as other criminals in Delhi.

Deputy Commissioner Alok Kumar said that this new trend of using teenagers to procure and transport weapons to big gangs has started in Delhi-NCR. He told that by interrogating both, efforts are being made to find out the other people involved in this. At present, the police is investigating this matter by forming several teams.
