Ramanujganj-Balrampur. A laborer from Chhattisgarh who had gone to Gujarat for wages, was mob lynched in Vansol village of Kheda district.
In fact, on the night of Sunday-Monday, Ramkeshwar Kherwar was thrashed fiercely by the people of the village on the suspicion of theft. After this, on getting the information, the police reached there and took the injured to the civil hospital in Ahmedabad, where doctors declared him brought dead after investigation.
Police registered crime against unknown accused
Police have registered an offense of murder and rioting against unknown accused and have taken some suspects into custody. Those detained are being questioned, but no arrests have been made so far.
He had gone to Gujarat earlier also to work
Here, the relatives of the deceased have left for Gujarat to collect the dead body. A relative told that Ramkeshwar Kherwar lived in village Harigawan under Vadrafnagar block of Balrampur district. Went to Gujarat on March 16 to do wages. Hearing the news of his death, his relatives have left for Gujarat to collect the dead body. He told that the deceased has 3 children. The house of the deceased is in his in-laws village, Madna, where he was living with his wife and all three children. He went to Gujarat for the third time to work.
Mob Lynching: A laborer from Chhattisgarh used to work in Gujarat, while returning home late at night, people thrashed him to death on suspicion of theft. The contractor had Rs 2500 left with him earlier. He was returning home on Sunday night after taking his money from the contractor. During this, people in Vansol village caught him on the suspicion of theft and beat him fiercely with sticks and rods. This left him seriously injured and he died before being taken to the hospital.
