Five people died and a youth was seriously injured in a horrific road accident on Friday night in Bihar’s Arwal. The accident took place near Khokri village on the Patna-Aurangabad Highway, where an autorickshaw was crushed by a truck. The people in the autorickshaw were going towards Aurangabad when a truck hit them from the front. After the accident, the driver fled leaving the truck.

All the deceased were residents of Bhojpur district
Five people died in a truck-autorickshaw collision on Friday night near Khokri village on National Highway 139 passing through Arwal. The collision was so strong that the auto parts flew away. According to the information, the five deceased were residents of Jagdishpur in Bhojpur district and were going towards Aurangabad. The dead include three men, a woman and a child. The injured youth was identified as Sikandar Paswan, a resident of Jaipur under Mehandia police station area of the district. The villagers who gathered at the spot demanded compensation for the families of the deceased and blocked the National Highway 139. The driver fled from the spot leaving the truck behind.

Villagers blocked the road after the accident
DM Varsha Singh (DM Varsha Singh), SP Mohammad Kasim (SP Mohammad Kasim), local MLA Mahanand Singh (MLA Mahanand Singh), SDPO Rajeev Ranjan (SDPO Rajeev Ranjan) and SHO Awadhesh Singh along with the police force reached the spot after getting information about the accident. Arrived. In a hurry, everyone was sent to the hospital by ambulance, where doctors declared 5 dead. A young man has been injured in the accident, whose treatment is going on at Arwal Sadar Hospital. On the information of the incident, a crowd of hundreds of villagers gathered from nearby. They were furious over the speeding of the truck drivers and blocked the road near the spot, leading to a long queue of vehicles. Police recovered two mobile phones from the accident autorickshaw, on the basis of which the injured are being identified.
