Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the new Parliament building on Sunday. A grand program was organized during this. In his first speech at the new Parliament building, the PM said that India’s new seat of power will usher in the development of not only the country, but the entire world. The new Parliament House signaled that India was shedding its colonial mindset and was on its way to becoming truly self-reliant. During his speech, he said that the new Parliament House will witness our journey towards a developed India.

PM Modi also released a postal stamp and a coin of 75 rupees (75 Rupees Coin) during the inauguration of the new Parliament House. Also, PM said that this inauguration day will become immortal today and some moments in the journey of development of a nation also become immortal. May 28 will also be counted in these days. PM Modi said that this gives a new message to the world about India’s determination. On the occasion of establishing Sengol, the PM expressed his gratitude to all the people. Referring to this, he said that Sengol is a great symbol of justice, righteousness and good governance. Whenever the proceedings of the House begin, Sengol will keep motivating everyone.

The Prime Minister further said that when India progresses, the world progresses with it. He asserted that the new Parliament will contribute to global development by strengthening India’s development. India is the mother of democracy. It is also the foundation of global democracy. Democracy is our thought and culture.

Pointing to the need for a new Parliament building, Modi said the number of Members of Parliament (MPs) would increase in the coming times and a new Parliament was the need of the hour.
