After the victory of the Congress party in Karnataka, what is being talked about the most is the face of the Chief Minister (CM) post. According to media reports, the names of Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar to become Chief Minister are in full swing in the Karnataka Congress.
Siddaramaiah, DK Shivakumar or someone else will get command
Former Chief Minister of Karnataka Siddaramaiah has already registered the seat from his constituency Varuna. According to media reports, he can also be the first choice of the Congress as the Chief Minister. Siddaramaiah hails from Siddaramahundi in Mysuru district and once served as the Chief Minister of Karnataka from 2013 to 2018. This can prove to be very helpful in expanding the Congress party in Karnataka in the Lok Sabha elections. At the same time, Karnataka Congress chief DK Shivakumar is also being seen as a contender for the post of CM. Shivakumar has won from Kanakapura assembly seat. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has congratulated the people of Karnataka on the Congress’s victory and said that the high command will decide on the chief ministerial candidate.

Tough test for Congress party
Political analysts say that the biggest challenge before the Congress party will be that which of these two should be given the post of Karnataka Chief Minister. The same situation should not arise here as the political ruckus is being seen in Rajasthan. Siddaramaiah and DK Shivkumar should not clash like Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot. Both the stalwarts of the Karnataka Congress party have their own dominance in the region and are considering themselves as frontrunners.
