Badrinath Dham Doors Closed: Char Dham Yatra (Chardham Yatra 2023) in Uttarakhand is now rapidly moving towards its end. After the announcement of the date of closure of the doors of Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham, now the date of closure of the doors of Badrinath Dham has also been announced. The decision was announced today at a religious function held in the temple premises on the occasion of Dussehra.
BKTC President announced
Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) chairman Ajendra Ajay said the iconic Badrinath Dham in Uttarakhand will close its doors for the winter season from November 18. Thousands of pilgrims including pilgrim priests and religious leaders were present here to organize a religious ceremony. The doors of Shri Badrinath Dham were opened for devotees earlier this year on April 27.
Till now many pilgrims have visited Chardham
According to media reports, till October 16, the number of pilgrims visiting Char Dham has crossed 50 lakh. After the start of the Yatra, more than 17,8000 devotees visited Kedarnath Dham. At the same time, more than 15,9000 devotees have visited Badrinath Dham. Also, 8,46000 devotees visited Gangotri and more than 6,94,000 devotees visited Yamunotri and more than 1,77000 devotees visited Hemkund Sahib.
An official statement from the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee said that Shri Gangotri Dham will be closed for the winter season on November 14, while Shri Yamunotri Dham will be closed on November 15. This is the annual closing of the temple doors during winter. Let us tell you that in Uttarakhand, the doors of the four Dhams Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri are opened only for 6 months in a year.
