All private schools will remain closed in Uttar Pradesh on August 8, 2023 i.e. Tuesday. This decision has been taken in the meeting of UPSA and AOPS. It has been decided in the meeting that the principal and the teacher were arrested without conducting an impartial inquiry into the incident that took place at the Children’s Girls School in Azamgarh. In protest against this, all private schools of CBSE, ICSE and UP Board in Uttar Pradesh will remain closed on Tuesday.

President of Association of Private Schools, Uttar Pradesh, Dr. Atul Kumar said that this step taken by the student due to the fear of her family members on finding the mobile with the student cannot be justified. If there is a ban on carrying mobile in school, then how was the girl student coming to school with mobile. In such a situation, the responsibility of such steps taken through the students will be put directly on the school, then the operation of the schools will stop.
He further said that he requests the government to conduct a fair investigation into the entire matter and strict action should be taken against the guilty only after the investigation. Apart from this, he said that today the parents are not ready to listen to anything. They threaten to file an FIR on the smallest issue.

On July 31, 2023, a girl student studying in class 11th at Children Girls School located in Harvanshpur area of Azamgarh district of UP had jumped from the third floor of the school, killing her on the spot. The parents of the student had made serious allegations against the school administration. After this, the police arrested the principal and a teacher of the school. In protest against which a decision has been taken to close private schools.
