Uttar pradesh news: A huge gang has been caught by the Noida Police, who cheated the government of 15 thousand crores by creating about 2660 fake companies in different parts of the country. Now this gang has been taken into Noida police custody. In this case, the police have arrested 8 accused, in which two are CAs. During interrogation, it has been found that the eight accused together used to collect GST refunds through 2660 companies in several states of the country on the basis of wrong documents. Where these people used to cheat the state government of different states by claiming GST through fake bills. Where they used to evade tax of about 5 to 10 crores from a company.
Commissioner of Police Lakshmi Singh said that the police were continuously receiving complaints that attempts have been made to open fake companies using PAN cards of people. Noida’s Cyber Cell and Kotwali police, after investigating this, arrested Mumbai resident Mohammad Yasin Sheikh and Ballia’s Ashwani Pandey from Noida Film City. After this, in the police investigation, he told the name of his entire gang to the police and then the police is looking for the rest of the criminals.
Police investigation told that this is how tax evasion was done
Police investigation revealed that the accused used to check the data of people living in different areas of the country through internet and search for common names in it. After that, they used to find a work educated man of that name. By changing the phone number of his PAN card, he used to get his number registered in it so that the OTP would come on his mobile at the time of form registration. After this, he used to go to the site of the Electricity Department and prepare fake documents in the name of that person by putting the electricity bill. In this way, they used to loot the government by creating fake bills in many parts of the country, for which questions were also being raised on the GST officials. It is now being speculated that ED or IB may investigate the matter as soon as possible.
