UP News: In Hyderganj police station area of Ayodhya district, a case of throwing acid on a girl by entering her house has come to light. The girl’s condition is critical, due to which she has been referred to Lucknow. While taking action in the case, the police arrested the accused and produced him in the court. From where he was sent to jail. The name of the accused is being told as Karan Sharma.
Acid was thrown when the marriage was broken.
This incident took place in Shila Ka Purwa village of Hyderganj police station area last night around 1 am. Ankita, a graduate student, was sleeping near the window in her house at that time. At the same time the accused youth Karan Sharma comes there and throws acid on the girl’s face from the window. The victim Ankita is the youngest of two brothers after four sisters, about 6 months ago her marriage was fixed with Karan Sharma of Raja Ka Nava village located in Purakalandar police station area and the marriage date was also finalized on 28 November 2023. Later the family members of the girl came to know about some bad habits of Karan Sharma due to which they canceled the marriage. Angered by this, the accused youth went to Ankita’s house at night to take revenge and threw acid on the sleeping Ankita.
Will get justice as soon as possible – Inspector General of Police
Inspector General of Ayodhya range Praveen Kumar said that Karan Sharma was known to the victim and her family and lived in an area under Inayat Nagar police station. He was upset that his marriage with the woman had broken up. The reason why this happened was not given. He further said that as soon as the incident was reported, the police immediately reached and took the victim to the district hospital for treatment, where she has been sent to Lucknow for better treatment. The accused youth is being interrogated in custody. The IG said that we will file the charge sheet in the court in two days and within 15 to 20 days we will get the culprits punished.
