Local villagers say that the villagers staged sit-ins several times regarding this problem. Farmer unions also demanded to get rid of the problem of flies by demonstrating on a wide scale. People say that every time the administrative officials assured that they would take steps in this direction. Despite this the problem still persists. The situation is such that even while sleeping, cooking or doing other work, mosquito nets have to be installed.
