Lathmar Holi in Barsana: Holi is in full swing these days in Brij Mandal of Uttar Pradesh. Seeing this atmosphere of veil on face, stick in hand and rain of colors on the streets, everyone gets excited. Not only the people of Gokul-Mathura and Vrindavan, but also lakhs of tourists were seen drenched in this celebration of Holi. A devotee died of suffocation on Tuesday.

There was a lot of color and gulal in Barsana of Mathura on Monday also. More than 10 quintals of colors and 1500 liters of Thandai were arranged at Shreeji Temple. Hurriyarins dressed as Radha showered sticks on the Hurriyars for two hours. Huriyar also kept defending himself while singing songs. The administration showered flowers on the devotees of Bihari Zoo from the helicopter.

A group of 40 devotees came from Mumbai
Devotee Sunil Pishori Lal, who had come from Mumbai, fell ill amid the crowd on Tuesday near Gate-1 of Banke Bihari Temple in Vrindavan. He was taken to the hospital in an unconscious state, the doctor declared him dead. The devotee had come to Vrindavan with 40 people for darshan. All the people were staying in Basanti Dharamshala located in Loi Bazar. On Tuesday morning, Sunil fell unconscious while having darshan at the Banke Bihari temple.

Specialty of Holi in Braj

  • Holi of Braj is famous all over the world. The enthusiasm and enthusiasm with which Holi is played here is not found anywhere else. Apart from colours, gulal and flowers, people here also play Holi with mud. Barsana’s lathmar and laddumar Holi are discussed everywhere.
