Miscreants have attacked the police team that went to catch the history-sheeter in Mandwa police station area of Udaipur district of Rajasthan. The attack was so strong that 7 policemen were injured. Giving information about the case, Udaipur Division IG Ajay Kumar Lamba said that police officers were attacked with knives and sticks by the miscreants, in which 7 of our jawans including Mandwa police station in-charge were injured. The accused also tried to snatch an SLR rifle and pistol from the police officials. Apart from this, the miscreants have also fired on the police team. Information has been received about an accused in Mandwa police station. However, no accused has been arrested so far.
Injured soldiers are undergoing treatment at MB Hospital in Udaipur.
According to media reports, the police team that went to arrest the history-sheeter was attacked by the Rania gang. This gang is quite notorious in Udaipur area. The policemen injured in the attack have been admitted to MV Hospital in the city. According to the information received, the Udaipur Police was informed about Rania’s arrival at the house, after which the police reached the crime scene.
On reaching there, the miscreants confused the police team and suddenly started firing. Mandwa police station in-charge Uttam Singh has been injured in the firing. All the injured have been admitted to MB Hospital in Udaipur. At present, a search operation is being conducted against the miscreants. Police say that soon the accused will be arrested.
