Punjab Budget 2023: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s government presented a budget of Rs 1,96,462 crore in the assembly today i.e. on Friday. This is 26 percent more than last year. During the budget session, Harpal Cheema said that the total budget of Punjab in 2022-23 was Rs 1,55,860 crore. He said in his budget speech that this time the Aam Aadmi Party government has fulfilled many of its promises and guarantees. The Finance Minister said during the budget speech that the AAP government is showering money heavily on all other issues ranging from education to health, women, farmers, youth. However, the Finance Minister targeted the former Congress government. He said that we inherited huge debt, but Aam Aadmi Party is committed for the development of Punjab. Who got what during Punjab budget

1. New Medical Colleges at Hoshiarpur and Kapurthala in Punjab.

2. Now 11 new colleges will be constructed in Punjab. Only Rs 36 crore has already been released in the Budget 2022-23. But, now an expenditure of Rs 68 crore is proposed for the construction of libraries and development in government colleges.

3. Rs 15 crore has been proposed in the budget for the upgradation and establishment of two new galleries of the War Memorial complex in Amritsar city of the state.

4.Rs 258 crore has been proposed for sports, so that the youth of Punjab can participate in all sports.

5. Construction of Institute of Trainer at Laldu in the state.

6. 11th class students of the state have been proposed to propose their original business ideas and the government has proposed to get seed money of Rs 2 thousand to all the students.

7. An amount of 100 crore has been proposed for rooftop solar system in schools.

8. There is a proposal to allocate about Rs 1,015 crore for medical education in the year 2023-24. Along with this, there is a proposal to set up two oil mills at Budhladha and Gidderbaha.

9. Rs 350 crore has been allotted for stubble management and Rs 100 crore for sugar complex.

10. Rs 615 crore has been proposed for the improvement of technical education institutions in the state, which is 6 percent more than last year.

11. 17,072 crore has been proposed for school and higher education, which is 12 percent more than last year.

12. The Punjab government has proposed 6 lakh 23 thousand crores for GSDP, which is 9.24 percent more than last year.

13. Rs 74,620 crore has been proposed for committed expenditure, which is 12 per cent more than last year. Along with this, Rs 11,782 crore is proposed for capital expenditure. Finance Minister Cheema said that we are strengthening the education and health sectors.
