Ujjain: The number of road accidents is continuously increasing in Madhya Pradesh. In view of this, various types of campaigns are being run by the police administration to prevent accidents. On the other hand, in view of the elections, the police administration has kept a close watch on every nook and corner of the city keeping in mind the security. In this connection, a checking campaign was being conducted by Ujjain Police on Wednesday night. Due to which two youths who were running to escape became victims of the accident. Due to which one youth died on the spot and another youth was seriously injured. Whose treatment is currently going on.

Accident occurred due to collision with stopper

According to the information received, both the youth were leaving home at around 11 pm and going to work. During this, both of them got scared after seeing the checking and were trying to run away. Meanwhile, the police tried to stop both the bike-riding youths. But seeing the police, the youth increased the speed of the bike and started running away from the stopper. During this the vehicle lost its balance and both the youth collided with the stopper. Due to increasing speed, the bike started dragging for some distance. Due to which one young man died on the spot, while the other one was seriously injured. Who was admitted to the hospital through ambulance. Where his treatment is continuing.

Cousin became victim of accident

Giving information about this incident, Ghatia police said that last night a point was set up in front of the police station for vehicle checking and barricading was done by installing stoppers. So that two wheeler and four wheeler vehicles can be checked. During this time, two youths were running to avoid checking. But in a hurry, their car collided with a stopper and in the accident, one youth died and the other one was seriously injured. The deceased has been identified as Naveen’s father Premchandra (14) and the injured as Rahul Verma (30), resident of Nalkheda. Both were cousins. Naveen’s family members are currently working as watchmen in Basant Vihar.
