These cows have injured many people while fighting among themselves. The city council failed to learn any lessons, even after people were injured by livestock in the city. Most of the cows roaming the city streets are domestic animals left on the road by herders after milking.
The company ignores all the rules
The city council awarded the company a livestock trapping contract based on conditions that required the company to open its office in the city and issue a toll-free number, but neither the office nor the toll-free number were opened to the company. The company that accepted the contract on behalf of the city council was forced to withdraw the money it earned and terminate the contract for ignoring the rules and incomplete work, but the city council took no action against the company.
Collecting animals from garbage heaps
Cows constantly congregate on city streets and at garbage dumps. On the one hand, the contractor who signed the garbage collection contract does not collect the garbage in the city, but on the other hand, the cows lick the garbage heaps all day long and spread dirt on the streets. Senior advocate Sunil Bhargava has filed multiple petitions in the court regarding the increasing problem of stray animals in the city, but the municipal council is not even following the court’s orders.
