Bhopal, Gunny bags worth lakhs of rupees kept in it were burnt to ashes after a fire broke out in the gunny godown under Kuthala police station in Katni district of the state. The incident was informed to the police. After which the fire engines of the Municipal Corporation reached the spot and tried to control the fire. At the same time, due to insufficient way to enter the godown, a way has been made by breaking the wall with the help of JCB. The accident is being told around 5 am. After which continuous efforts were made to control the fire from 6 am to 9 am but the fire could not be controlled completely.
I came to know when I saw the smoke rising in the morning
According to the information, in front of Chaka Gram Panchayat under Kuthala police station area, there is a godown of gunny bags of Ravi Ranjan Jaiswal. When Ravi’s father went out for a walk at 5 in the morning, he saw smoke rising from his godown and immediately informed the police. The district police informed the police control room and the fire department. On which the staff of fire brigade personnel reached the spot with a vehicle. After this, the fire brigade tried to control the fire, but the fire was continuously increasing. After which 2 more fire engines were called by which efforts were made to extinguish the fire. Till 9 am, an attempt was made to control the fire with the help of three vehicles on the spot, but the fire was continuously increasing.
Estimate of loss of 40 to 50 lakh rupees
The initial cause of the fire in the gunny godown is believed to be an electrical short circuit. On the other hand, the godown owner told that about three to four lakh gunny bags were kept in the godown and there is a possibility of loss of Rs 40 to 50 lakhs due to the fire. After the fire broke out, the people around were also busy in extinguishing the fire.
