Environment Day: Shivraj appeals people not to use single use plastic, plants planted on Environment Day

Bhopal.On World Environment Day, Chief Minister Shivraj Chouhan has appealed to the people of the state not to use single use plastic. Along with this, Shivraj has said that he must plant a tree on his birthday or on other auspicious occasions. While appreciating the voluntary organizations, Shivraj appreciated their work being done in the field of environment.

On this special occasion, he said that everyone must save electricity and water. Alerting people about the environment, he said that our lifestyle should be such that we can protect the environment. Shivraj asked the people present to take this resolution so that the coming generations can live in a good environment.

Planted more than 300 saplings

Programs were organized across the state on the occasion of World Environment Day. Saplings were also planted in many areas in the capital. Aarti was performed while worshiping the plants on this special occasion at Ekant Park located on Link Road of the city.

Shivraj planted trees amid chanting in the program organized on Airport Road. Mayor Malti Rai, former Mayor Alok Sharma, BJP leader Bhagwandas Sabnani, BJP District President Sumit Pachauri, Corporation President Kishan Suryavanshi and dignitaries were present on this occasion. On the occasion of Environment Day, under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister, more than 300 saplings were planted.
