Ajay Singh asked why the master plan of Gwalior was stopped due to Minister of State Kushwaha, demanded this from the Chief Minister

Bhopal, Former Leader of Opposition Ajay Singh has alleged that due to the pressure of Minister of State Bharat Singh Kushwaha, the prepared master plan of Gwalior was suddenly stopped from being published in the Gazette. When the objections and claims were resolved and it got the approval of Housing Environment Minister Bhupendra Singh, then what is the reason that it was sent to the minister again for reconsideration? Singh has sought Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s intervention on this issue.

Do not rule out the possibility of corruption

Ajay Singh alleges that Bharat Singh Kushwaha wants to include agricultural land near Gwalior in the master plan, while his proposal and objection have been rejected. The committee formed under the chairmanship of the Principal Secretary under Section 19-2 has also resolved the claims and objections, now there is no objection and resolution left. Even after this the master plan was stopped. The possibility of corruption cannot be ruled out in the whole episode.

The plan will decide the direction of development

Ajay Singh said that the master plan of Gwalior city has been made in 427 square kilometers keeping in mind the needs of 2035. Due to the plan to implement the new master plan in the big cities of the state, when the master plan of Gwalior city was first being sent for publication in the gazette, then why was it suddenly stopped? He said that special attention has been paid to the new master plan of Gwalior to organize traffic and increase the width of main roads. The width of the roads has been increased from 18 to 40 metres. This master plan will decide the direction of development of Gwalior.

Chief Minister should take personal interest

Ajay Singh said that if this ban continues, then the new master plans of 52 cities of the state will never be implemented. The government should take decisions by keeping the development of the city as the focal point, not paying attention to personal interests, only then big political thinking will come to the fore. He said that the master plans of Bhopal, Jabalpur, Rewa, Indore, Ujjain are yet to come. The master plan of Bhopal is pending with the Chief Minister for his in-principle consent. Singh has urged Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to take concrete steps to implement the new master plan of all the districts by taking personal interest.
