Assembly proceedings adjourned till March 13 amid heavy uproar, no-confidence motion of Congress against Speaker

Bhopal. Today’s action of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly was marred by ruckus. Angered by the suspension action taken against Jitu Patwari, the Congress today gave a notice of no-confidence motion against Speaker Girish Gautam. Gautam said that action will be taken on this as per rules. A heated debate took place inside the house between Narottam Mishra, Laxman Singh and Dr. Govind Singh. Due to the uproar, the House was first adjourned till 12 noon and then the proceedings were adjourned till March 13.

Demand for suspension of Narottam Mishra

Amidst the uproar, Leader of the Opposition Dr. Govind Singh alleged that Parliamentary Affairs Minister Narottam Mishra threw a book at me and killed him. That’s why they should also be suspended from the House. Mishra said that I had the book in my hand and I should have pushed the peon aside, during which the book left my hand. Still, I apologize for this. With this, the Congress was adamant on accepting the no-confidence motion notice against the speaker. There was a lot of sloganeering and uproar from both sides. After one adjournment, the proceedings were finally adjourned till March 13.
