Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh State Advocate Council, Jabalpur has decided that from April 15 to July 15, advocates will be able to appear in district courts and their subordinate courts by wearing white shirts, black/white/striped or gray colored pants and by tying advocate bands. According to the notification issued by the Madhya Pradesh State Advocates Council, Jabalpur, all the advocates in all the district courts of Madhya Pradesh can practice without wearing black coat from 15 April 2023 to 15 July 2023. In view of the scorching heat, the State Bar Council has advised the lawyers across the state It has been decided to give exemption from black coat for three months. For this, the date from 15 April to 15 July has been fixed.

This exemption will not be available at the time of lobbying in the High Court and Supreme Court.

During this period, the lawyers will have to wear white shirt and black, white, striped or gray color paint and advocate band and advocate in the district courts and their subordinate courts. However, they will not get this exemption/relief while appearing in the High Court and Supreme Court. In many tehsils and districts of the state, the situation is such that the number of lawyers is much more than the seating capacity. In such a situation, they have to sit in the open or work in tight spaces. Especially in the event of power failure, their problems increase further. About one lakh lawyers of the state will be benefited by this decision of the council.
