Mehbooba Mufti: Today Saturday is the 15th day of the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas. The Israeli army is continuously targeting Hamas positions. So far, more than 5000 people have lost their lives in the ongoing attacks from both sides. The death toll in the Hamas attack in Israel is more than 1400. On the other hand, 3500 have died in the bombing in Gaza Strip. Meanwhile, People’s Democratic Party President and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti demonstrated in Srinagar in support of Palestine. Mehbooba Mufti took to the streets in support of Palestine and demonstrated on the streets with a flag in her hands.
Protested with flag in hand
During the protest, Mufti along with all her party workers also demonstrated. Mufti protested by sitting on the road carrying the flag of Palestine. Earlier, the PDP President had also expressed his reaction on the attack by Israel on the hospital in Gaza. He had said that what happened during the attack remained a sad memory forever.
He said half of the world’s terrorism is a reaction to the unresolved issue of Palestine. Will those in power remain mute spectators or wake up to the grim reality, so that innocent people are no longer killed? Mufti further said that this is not just Israel-Palestine, a Muslim issue. He said that the international community should wake up to this and find a permanent solution to this issue so that blood is not shed every day.
Air strikes on Gaza overnight
According to the latest information from media reports, Israel carried out air strikes on more than 100 terrorist targets in Gaza overnight. A Hamas naval officer was also killed in this attack. The Israeli army also destroyed the weapons of terrorists kept inside a worship place in Jabaliya neighborhood of Gaza. This information has been given by IDF.
