According to media reports, the Jammu and Kashmir Police had received information that terrorists were hiding in Pattan area of ​​Baramulla district. The police shared this information with the army. After this, the army and the police together surrounded the Pattan area completely and launched a joint search operation to nab the terrorists. Both the terrorists were caught under the operation.

Police said the terrorists have been identified as Farooq Ahmed Para and Saima Bashir of Sopore area. A huge quantity of explosives have also been recovered from both the terrorists. The recovered weapons include 5 rounds of pistol, 2 pistol magazines, an improvised explosive device and a remote-controlled IED.

The police arrested both the terrorists and are interrogating them. The terrorists have made many revelations during interrogation. They told that they were working with Abid Qayoom Lone, another active Lashkar terrorist from Pattan. A case has been registered against both the terrorists under relevant sections including Unlawful Activities Act of 1967, Arms Act of 1959.
