It may be noted that on March 25, the Disaster Management Authority had also issued an avalanche warning in several districts of Jammu and Kashmir. It was being told that low danger avalanches could occur in several districts of Jammu and Kashmir at an altitude of 2,800 to 3,000 meters above sea level.

Warning was given for these areas

The Jammu and Kashmir Disaster Management Authority had warned on Saturday that there is a possibility of avalanches in Baramulla, Ganderbal, Kishtwar, Doda, Kupwara, Poonch, Ramban, Anantnag, Reasi and Kulgam. The authority had asked people living in these areas to remain alert. It was told to take precautions till further orders and avoid going to avalanche-prone areas.
