Encounter between security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch.
Jammu Kashmir Encounter: Security forces have achieved a major success on Tuesday morning in Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir. Security forces have killed four terrorists in a joint operation in Sindhra area of Poonch. The encounter started around 11.30 pm last night and continued till early hours today. Keeping in view the initial encounter between security forces and terrorists, it was being monitored with the help of drones.
Great success in joint operation
The operation involved Indian Army forces, Assam Rifles and Jammu and Kashmir Police personnel, as well as other forces. However, the identity of the terrorists is yet to be officially confirmed. According to media reports, all these terrorists are likely to be foreigners. Also, further investigation is being done to ascertain his identity.

There was an encounter on Monday as well
Army and police on Monday foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district, in which two terrorists were killed. There was heavy exchange of fire between the terrorists and the army along the LoC. After this additional forces were also sent. Police also recovered arms and ammunition from the possession of the intruders. Last week too, the Army had foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district, following which a terrorist was killed.
