BJP Maneka Gandhi says ISKCON sells cows to butchers: A video of BJP MP Maneka Gandhi is going viral on social media. In which she is seen making serious allegations against the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISCON). He (Maneka Gandhi Statement on ISKCON) says that ISKCON is the biggest fraud and it sells cows from its cow shelters to butchers. However, when is this video from? Information about this could not be found. The national spokesperson of ISKCON has termed these allegations as baseless.
According to media reports, Maneka Gandhi is seen saying in the viral video that “ISKCON sets up cow shelters and earns unlimited profits in the form of huge land from the government for it.” The BJP MP said that she recently visited Andhra Pradesh. Visited ISCON’s Anantapur cow shed and did not find even a single cow in good condition.Further, the MP alleged that there was no calf in the cow shed, which means all of them were sold.
Cows being sold to butchers
Maneka Gandhi said that ISKCON is selling all its cows to butchers and no one does this work more than them. They are the ones who roam around on the streets chanting ‘Hare Ram Hare Krishna’ and say that their entire life depends on milk. However, ISKCON rejected Maneka Gandhi’s allegations as “baseless and false”. He says that he was surprised by the statements of the former Union Minister.
ISKCON is protecting cows
If reports are to be believed, ISKCON’s national spokesperson Yudhishthir Govinda Das has given a statement. He said ISKCON has pioneered cow conservation in many parts of the world where beef is a staple diet. Recently many cows were brought to us after being abandoned, injured or saved from slaughter.
