Chandigar: Haryana’s Agriculture and Farmer Welfare Minister JP Dalal said that with the help of the British “Genus ABS and Incube” companies, information and communication technology for crop processing management, modern agricultural techniques, centers of excellence and breeding improvement will be made available to the state’s farmers of buffalo, thereby increasing am Technology exchange is being worked on.

JP Dalal said the same when meeting a British delegation in Chandigarh on Friday. The UK delegation also included UK Deputy High Commissioner Chandigarh Caroline Rowett, UK Agriculture Advisor to India Amber Chandler and officials from Genus ABS and Incube.

Briefing the UK delegation on agriculture and related sectors in the state, Minister for Agriculture and Farmer Welfare JP Dalal said the government aims to have a supply chain by 2030 for programs to develop crop clusters, fresh fruit and vegetables and Packing houses set up horticultural land and tripled horticultural produce through the formation of farmer-producer organizations. He said that the centers of excellence established for several horticultural crops in the state encouraged horticultural promotion and development activities. In this direction, three new competence centers for post-harvest management, bulbs and flowers will be established.

Minister of Agriculture and Farmer Welfare JP Dalal said that the government will set up a honey quality laboratory and draw up a honey business policy for the state’s beekeepers to market the honey, so that beekeepers’ interest in this direction will increase. He said animal husbandry plays an important role in increasing rural incomes and creating employment opportunities. The Haryana Pashudhan Utthan Missionary Program is being prepared to encourage the development of entrepreneurship in the animal husbandry sector. He said that an integrated aquapark excellence center will be built on the land of Garhwa village in Bhiwani district to improve saltwater-affected areas.

Also present on the occasion were the Director of the Ministry of Agriculture, Narhari Singh Bangar, and the Director General of Horticulture, Arjun Saini.
