Sonipat: The floating body of an unknown youth was found in Rajpura Minor near Shekhpura village. As he walked toward rural fields on Tuesday morning, he dialed 112 to report the body. After receiving the information, police reached the spot and showed the body to nearby villagers for identification. Even after police efforts failed to identify the body, the police took the body into custody and kept it at the Civil Hospital mortuary for identification.
The age of the deceased is approximately 38 years. People saw a body floating in Rajpura Minor, following which the police were informed. After receiving the information, police reached the spot, took possession of the body and began investigation. There were no clothes on the body of the deceased. No signs of injury were found on the body. When local villagers saw the body, they expressed fear that the body might have fallen into the minor after swimming in the water from behind. Police chief Anil said the body had not been identified. The body was kept at the mortuary of Sonipat Civil Hospital for identification.
